I'd never seen this one before. I was shooting in my basement last night at a Glendel buck target. One shot sounded funny but hit okay. When I went to pull the arrow I noticed that there was no field tip or insert. I had a cardboard box all folded up laying behind the target and there was a hole in it just in line with the arrow that I was pulling out of the Glendel. I moved the cardboard box to find that the insert and field tip had went through all the layers of the box, hit the concrete wall, and fallen to the floor all with no arrow pushing it. I guess when the arrow was stopped by the target the tip kept going. This wasn't a new arrow or one that had been recently worked on. I do install my inserts with hot melt so all I can figure is that it was hot from the friction of the target. Pretty standard setup with Carbontech arrrows at around 280fps. Wierd.
