Wildlife took out our winter turkey season this year, which is bad because i counted 16 hens in a group the other day.

Don't listen to him Bob, my bow looks like a twin to yours and it still kills things. coolsmiley.gif

Remember D, respect your elders or Pappy may just lay the smack down on you! laugh.gif

I got nothing but love for Ol'Bob, he knows that. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
He gives out as much as he takes Sean. tongue.gif
He can come on over anytime I'm only 30 minutes form his fav S. IL. hunting spot.

You could use a string suppressor though Bob, sounded a little twangy.

PS.
I'm thinking about a Hoyt A/M for 2010

I have a dinosuar Hoyt too. It is a Pro Force Heat shooting 2315`s with an overdraw.

It is heavy and it is loud but it is also LETHAL!

I think I have had this bow for 16 years. I have spent as much as $1400.00 for new Hoyt and Bowtech packages in recent years but this old one is my favorite.

Congrats on your Turkey

Thanks for the support guys . . . I just ignore SIbowhunter as he keeps up on the latest equipment but I have yet to see anything posted lately in the harvest column with that super fast bows he uses . . LOL LOL LOL

Anyway my bow is a 5 year old Hoyt UltraMax 3000. It is a great bow and has many notches representing buck kills to its credit. It is only about 6 years old so it is still fairly state of the art. But, my theory is if the arrows keep going straight thru the bucks at ranges I normally shoot then all that extra speed would be wasted. Extra speed above this level of performance is wasted. It would just tempt me to shoot out to ranges that my "minute of error" would expand into either a miss or a bad hit. I have upgraded the bow with the QAD UltraaRest HD dropaway and the G5 Optix XR sight. So, it has all the latest and greatest accessories. It also has all the possible Sims vibration supressors on it. And the last thing those bucks here after the arrow as ventilated their ribcages is the Twang of the bow.

Duane, that sound of the bow is because during the shot the bow was about 6 inches from the camcorder. LOL . . . A mouse sneezing that close would sound like a lions roar. . .

Glad you all liked the video of the turkey harvest. . . will be posting a monster buck from S. Illinois that is killed with my way too slow Hoyt . . . LOL
silbowhunter
Oh your not ignoring anyone your just listening to yourself, I didn't say anything about speed. tongue.gif

If you would take the time to click on view new post at the top of the page you just might run across a picture of me and a dead buck.
It's not a monster but I only have 20 acres to hunt not hundreds like some others, no food plots no ag fields no feeders no outfitter just 20 acres of woods.
PaPaBob
Well here I am hat in hand and eating a little crow . . . LOL . . .

Duane I just checked the team contest topic and you have shot yourself a really nice buck. Congrats to you and hope your next one is bigger. It is always good to know all the personal tutoring and advise that I have been giving you over the years hasn't gone in one ear and out the other . . .

. . . a blind squirrel will find a nut every once in a while. . . .

Again, great buck. It is a wonder what those wide-angled cameras can do for a picture . . . LOL cheers.gif worthy.gif pictures.jpg
