Well I know up here in Northern NY the weather was not the best for hunting. We also notice at our hunting camp and the 200 acres we hunt the rut this year was hit and miss never really seemed like it was a full blown rut.It wasn't just in our area but other hunters I takled to said it was the same way. Less bucks seen and taken too this year.This makes me nervous all the old timers I talked a fews years back when the powers that be, opened a doe season up here 30 years ago same thing happened.I personally feel and others up here also agree the deer herd is down.It is evident less seen,less taken, less car deer accidents just what the insurance companies wanted or I mean the D E C wanted.(That is a whole different subject) so anyway how did you guys do this year?

I didn't make it to NY this year, but everyone in my family did well. All got nice bucks and were happy with amount of deer seen. Hunting was good, especially during archery.
