Looking at buying a 25 wssm Browning stainless stalker this spring and was looking for opinions. Do you have one with the BOSS and is it worth the extra $. I'll be useing it for deer 25 to 200 yards. Thanks

Just curious why you wouldnt consider using the 25-06 cartridge, since the ammo (wssm) can be tough to find, and the future is rather bleak for the wssm line as well I think, since Winchester is no longer making rifles..........
I had an a-bolt varmint stalker in 25wssm, ended up selling it before I shot it, so I am sorry that I can not give you a report on it.

I have the A-bolt Hunter 25 WSSM - no BOSS. I love it. I have had more one shot kills with it than anything else I have toted to the woods, partially due to my confidence in the accuracy and the lack of kick - therefore no flinching. I have killed roughly 30 deer with it since I bought it and none have gone more the 30 yards, most dropped in their tracks. I am thinking about buying another one because my wife likes it and when she takes it I'm left with the 300WSM.
As for ammo, I use 115gr Ballistic Silvertips and they are readily available from www.natchezss.com
I personally would steer clear of the BOSS as I have see little or no benefit, especially with a caliber that has very little recoil in the first place. Plus, it will definitely make your ears RING.
