You sell 'em. cool, how much do you usually get for them. of course, with the amount of squirrels i get, i wouldn't make much.

Jeff,
I have to admit I have never been smart enough to carry a blunt, But have wasted more than my share of broadheads on those TreeRats before...
I always wanted to do a Log Mount of all the differant squirells from my area.

TREE RATS-aka-Squirrel are fun to hunt with a 22 rifle and when you take head shots only it makes it really a challenge. Add using some Eley subsonic low velocity hollow points and they never know what it was that hit em!
I have had greys in a tree cuttin before and as long as you shoot the lowest one 1st most of the time you can get multiples out of the same tree. It is funny sometimes if you pay attention after you shoot and watch the ones still in the tree they look down at their buddy like "hey stupid I told you not to drink so much last night, now you done lost your balance and fell".
I really like those guys that wanna run down the side of the tree and laugh at their buddy

I was sitting in the bow stand last year and a father and son came through the woods squirrel hunting with their 22's. Talk about a nervous few moments for me.

They didn't even know I was there. I had to whistle out to them so I wouldn't get shot.
Like OBH, I've donated a couple broadheads trying to pick a tree rat off a tree.

I hunt them. Heres what you do... Go scout first. Find a spot where the squirrels are daily ( ex. Around oak trees, corn fields ect.) Watch and see what time they start comming out at. When you have them patterned, get to the spot you think you will have a shot from, an hour before they should appear. Get settled and get ready. You should bag 2 or more that day.

if you have no food sources around, i found that shelled corn works like a charm with squirrels..just take some out in the woods, make a pile and keep baiting throughout the year and they will get used to it being there...they are easy to pattern and not very quiet critters. If you want a challenge, take a bow with you. Thatll make a good shot out of you

Have fun
p.s. Id check your local game laws and check to see how many you are allowed to bag each day because its easy to get carried away sometimes
