The NWTF's Hunting Heritage Landowner Program is a worthwhile program that offers a great deal of opportunities for those intersted in increasing the quality of wildlife habitat on a property.
I have participated in this program for three or four years and have submitted my management plan for the awards application.
Year before last, my plan was the national runner-up. Last year, my plan was the second highest scoring plan nationwide, however I was not eligible for the runner-up award as I had won it previously.
All said and done, I highly recommend participation in this program. It has challenged me to go beyond planting food plots and look at the entire ecosystem. I have learned a great deal from this experience and continue to so Give it a try!!
