Just woundering if any one else sent in for a bear permit?

I put in for the 3rd period for Baraga Co. I am at zero preference points now as I hunted last year up there during the second period. Figured the only chance is for the 3rd hunting period. Maybe get myself a longshot.

I put in for Newberry, the last hunt . There are three of us,we put in as a party. The odds are suppose to be better and we each have one point a piece. You can find out online June 6. I plan on taking my bow with a handgun backup.I've never been before so I got my work cut out for me. Good luck on the draw.

I put in with a friend but he said we would't get drawn it would take a couple of years. I have never bear hunted before so I said what the heck, put in for the u.p. in schoolcraft co. could't tell you where it's his cabin. Funny thing is even if we were to get drawn he would't go anyways. My friend is saying screw it going to canada ontario where its only costing him 400 bucks for baited blinds and knows of 3 guys in the camp already he talked to them and 12 out of the 16 men who went shot bear. Now that he is in on this camp he will never mess with u.p. bear again its to much head ach. Don't ask me what the camp is I don't know and I'm trying to get in myself there is a waiting list.
