I pheasant hunt a lot and have lots of experience with some of the guns you mentioned. I hunted a lot of years with the 11-87 premiere....
I drug it through the mud, water dirt and it never missed a beat.
It is on its second stock, the cold deer seasons cracked the forearm so I replaced that and the butt with camo synthetic. I always bring it along as a backup.
The only thing I didn't like about it is it is heavy.
I shoot an 1100 for trap and that's all I use it for. Fits like a golf.
My current gun that I've been using for about 5 years is the Benelli M2 Field. A shell hung up in it this weekend for the first time. It was really cold and I don't know if that had anything to do with it. The inertia drive is a little tweaky....you have to make sure the bolt is fully forward or it won't fire. So when you put a shell in you make sure the bolt is all the way forward. I usually just push the bolt release button so it can travel forward on its own and that takes care of it.
I love this gun. It swings and shoulders differently than a Remington and it took a few shots to get it but I've grown to love this gun. With a $1000 price tag...you better learn to love it I guess!
I tried Berreta's and I just can't shoulder them correclty. Just me but they come up goffy for me, I look down the side of the barrel.
Lastly,
My buddy had the brand new Benelli UltraLight with him this weekend!
Man o Man that one will make your mouth water! Only weighs 6lbs....almost too light for me....carbon fiber vented rib...man it was sweet!
To end this long saga....
You REALLY need to go somewhere where you can spend a lot of time shouldering and swinging the guns you are looking at. They have to fit and swing right or you will never like the gun. Go try them all and I'm guessing you'll know after a couple swings.
